invites applications for postdoctoral positions in partial differential equations and infinite dimensional dynamical systems

The positions will be funded the project "Partial differential equations describing far-from-equilibrium open systems" awarded by the Czech Science Foundation (PI: Miroslav Bulíček). There are no teaching duties and knowledge of Czech is not necessary.

Applicants should have working knowledge of nonlinear partial differential equations, dynamical systems and stability theory. Applicants with experience in continuum mechanics theory are also welcome to apply.

The expected duration of the position is January 1, 2021 - December 31, 2022 (the starting and ending dates are negotiable) with possible extension. The expected salary is about 2000 Eur/month netto (i.e. after substracting taxes and insurance)

The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University is leading institution in mathematics in the Czech Republic, with highly motivated and well educated students in our mathematics programs. The School of Mathematics has about 110 academic positions, covering most of the major areas of mathematics.

The group of Mathematical modelling at Mathematical institute, where the position will be hosted, offers an openminded international environment, with outstanding conditions for independent research.
