The Zu Chongzhi Center for Mathematics and Computational Science (CMCS) at Duke Kunshan University (DKU) develops innovative research projects and education programs aiming to foster the interdisciplinary and innovative nature of Mathematics research and education at DKU. The Zu Chongzhi Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct both independent and collaborative research with CMCS Faculty. The Zu Chongzhi Postdoctoral Fellow will also be assigned to supporting teaching roles at DKU.
Reports to:
The Director and Co-director of the Zu Chongzhi Center for Mathematics and Computational Science, and the fund-supporting Faculty. This will be a three-year appointment. Essential Duties: * Conduct both independent and collaborative research with CMCS Faculty. * Teach as assigned.
* Perform other duties as assigned. * The Zu Chongzhi postdoctoral fellow's responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs. Required Qualifications:
* Recent PhD no later than 2018 degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline. * Teaching experience. * Applicants working in the following fields will be preferred: dynamical systems, PDE, mathematical modeling, applied mathematics, scientific computing, mathematical physics, and stochastic process. * Applicants from underrepresented groups in Mathematics are particularly encouraged to apply.
