The successful candidate will be expected to teach 19-21 hours per year of mathematics and statistics courses, to assist in building a program in applied statistics and data analytics, to assist with recruiting, to sponsor undergraduate projects, to participate in other departmental initiatives and to serve the university as called upon. 


 A PhD in statistics or a related field or a PhD in mathematics plus significant experience in statistics or a related field is required. Documented excellence in teaching undergraduate math or statistics is required. Active program of scholarship, statistical consultancy, or business/industrial experience is expected. The successful applicant for this position will demonstrate the ability to assist in the expansion and oversight of a program in applied statistics and data analytics. Experience with R and/or Python is preferred.
