Position Description:    

The Department of Mathematics at Niagara University invites applications for a one-year instructor position for the 2020-2021 academic year to begin August 2020. A master’s degree in mathematics with significant experience as lead instructor at the college level by the position start date is required. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching. An active research program is desirable, and candidates who possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include teaching approximately 9 credit hours per semester. Most courses assigned are expected to be service-level courses such as calculus or introductory statistics, but, depending on department needs and the successful candidate’s qualifications, there may be an opportunity to teach an upper-level course for majors in Spring 2021. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in appropriate departmental service.
