The Faculty of Mathematics, trough the Department of Mathematics, of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (http://www.mat.uc.cl/) is calling for applications for one (1) Academic position at the level of Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Associate Professor (Tenure) beginning in August 2020. We expect a high level in mathematical research and good teaching references. Some background in academic responsibilities will be well considered. Professors in our university have a teaching load of three courses per year. Appointees are expected to teach in Spanish after one year. The starting annual salary for Assistant professors is around $30.000.000 Chilean pesos (approximately 38,000 USD), adjustable to a higher value according to previous experience. In addition, appointees will be eligible for a starting grant of a total amount of $8,000,000 Chilean pesos, to be spent over a period of two years in research activities such as traveling, participation in conferences, academic visits, and students.

The minimum requirement for applicants is a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in mathematics. Females and minorities are especially encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is June 21, 2020.
