Position Description:    

Southern Arkansas University invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure track position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Mathematics in the department of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Duties: Teaching undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics courses. Scholarly activities, curriculum development, student advising, recruitment and retention activities, departmental services, undergraduate research and grantsmanship are expected.

Southern Arkansas University campus is comprised of 1,400 acres nestled in a quiet and beautiful part of south Arkansas. Qualifications: Doctoral degree in mathematics/applied mathematics/statistics, ABD may be considered. Experience with and the ability to teach Data Science, Machine learning and Applied Mathematics is highly desired. Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate students; excellent communication skills; ability to work well with the others; strong desire to getting involve in student activities; commitment to professional development.
