Office of the Dean Faculty of Mathematics University of Waterloo

The Office of the Dean of Mathematics in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo invites applications for one or more definite-term Lecturer positions for contracts ranging from one year to two years less a day. The expected start dates are September 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021.

A PhD or a Masters degree and evidence of excellence in teaching are required. Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate mathematics education and excellent organizational and communication skills. Duties will include teaching six courses per year in core Mathematics undergraduate courses or service courses, and service/administrative work within the University. For interested individuals, this may include the creation of digital assets or teaching online.

The salary range for the position is $70,000-$115,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
