The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Mathematics & Computer Science beginning Fall 2021. Qualifications include a Ph.D. (or anticipated) in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field, excellence in teaching, evidence of professional vitality, and a commitment to teaching and scholarship in a liberal arts environment. 

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and also an interest in contributing to college-wide programs. Responsibilities will typically include teaching three classes per semester (introductory and advanced courses). Willingness to teach introductory courses in both mathematics and computer science is preferred. In addition, the teaching load includes a January term course in alternate years. Austin College has a diverse student body and is committed to the same in the hiring process.
