Position Announcement: Adjunct Instructor or Adjunct Professorial Lecturer Department of Mathematics and Statistics College of Arts and Sciences American University

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a number of adjunct faculty positions for Academic Year 2020-2021. Rank will depend on terminal degree. The search will continue until December 10th, 2020. The applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Applicants should hold a Masters (initial rank: Adjunct Instructor) or a PhD (initial rank: Adjunct Professorial Lecturer). Some teaching experience in service level statistics courses is preferred. The successful applicant will be appointed to teach a maximum of 2 courses during Spring 2021. Assignments in subsequent academic years are possible.

Salary is competitive, and is determined by the number of courses to which the successful applicant is assigned.
