JOB DESCRIPTION The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, specializing in Applied Analysis, commencing fall 2021.[R0122914]

ROLE of the POSITION The successful candidate is expected to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, publish in refereed research journals, pursue external funding, and supervise graduate students. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide service to the department, college, university, and the profession.

QUALIFICATIONS This position requires a Ph.D. in mathematics from a regionally accredited college or university and a demonstrated expertise in applied analysis. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate commitment to excellence in both teaching and scholarly activities. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

SALARY RANGE Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
