Department of Mathematical Sciences at Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for multiple teaching-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor to start in August 2022. These are non-tenure track positions, with a three year, 9- month contracts with a possibility of renewal. The Department of Mathematical Sciences is a part of the College of Engineering and Science – Florida Tech’s largest college, and is committed to creating and maintaining a culture of excellence in teaching and research, with the goal of setting the stage for research-based and innovative pedagogies that foster student engagement, learning, and success.

We seek individuals with expertise and interest in instruction and curriculum design for mathematics courses with an ability to clearly communicate in the classroom with a good understanding of curricular objectives and learner’s needs and abilities. The position requires a teaching load of 3-4 courses per semester. Potential course assignments include, but not limited to, Precalculus, Calculus sequence, Differential Equations, Partial Differential Equations, Probability and Statistics. Having an expertise in developing or implementing teaching innovation tools is a plus.

The successful candidates are also expected to advise and mentor to areas such as research/capstone projects, provide service to the university at various levels.

Candidates should hold at a Ph.D. degree in mathematics or a related area and demonstrate strong experience teaching undergraduates from diverse backgrounds.
