FULL-TIME MATHEMATICS FACULTY POSITION AT EVANGEL UNIVERSITY Evangel University, a Christian institution committed to the ministry of integrating faith and learning, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Mathematics in the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences. QUALIFICATIONS: A graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in mathematics or a mathematics-related field is required. A strong background in computer science or physics is desired. While the candidate must demonstrate a primary interest and ability in teaching undergraduate students, an active research program is also a plus. The candidate must be strongly committed to the mission of Christian higher education within the Assemblies of God and he/she must meet professional and personal qualifications. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Teach upper level courses within the applicant’s area of expertise in mathematics and related fields (e.g. physics). • Guide undergraduates in research. • Participate in professional and/or scholarly development. • Serve as an academic advisor and personal mentor to students. • Attend and participate in faculty meetings. • Serve on faculty committees and University commissions. • Represent the University favorably to the public and constituency as occasions permit. • Support and participate in the spiritual life of the University. • Serve as a role model for students in their spiritual formation. • Church attendance: Faculty are normally expected to regularly attend and be members of a local Assemblies of God church.
