Postdoctoral Position(s) as an

NSF RTG Postdoc in Combinatorics

The Department of Mathematics of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is soliciting applications for up to two NSF RTG Postdocs in combinatorics, funded by NSF RTG DMS 1937241.  These positions are full time and non-renewable with a term of three years, starting approximately August 16, 2021, and are for recent Ph.D. recipients (see website for more information).  Due to NSF funding policies, only US citizens and permanent residents are eligible for hire.  Preference is given to applicants whose research interests are in graph theory, algebraic combinatorics, or combinatorial representation theory, broadly construed.

The Department of Mathematics and the University of Illinois provide an excellent scientific environment to pursue research and as part of the Combinatorics RTG, the selected postdoc(s) will have access to numerous NSF funded activities such as seminars, workshops, summer schools, and an undergraduate research program (ICLUE).  The professional development expectations of the RTG postdoc are to actively participate and help organize such events.  The teaching load for these positions is two courses per academic year (1+1).  The salary is competitive; including one month of summer salary for two years.
