The position is funded by the US Exascale Computing Project (, a large consortium focused on the goal of achieving exascale-level computation. In particular, the selected candidate will be associated with the ECP Multiprecision Effort under the "xSDK: Extreme-scale Scientific Software Development Kit" branch of the project.

The project will involve rigorous error analysis and algorithm development. The candidate should ideally have a PhD in computer science, mathematics, or a related field, with background in one or more of the following areas:

* Finite precision analysis

* Sparse iterative solvers

* Randomized numerical linear algebra

* Parallel matrix computations

The position can begin as early as March 2021, but the start date is flexible. The anticipated gross salary for the position is 58,000 CZK per month (approximately 2,200 EUR), which is above the average salary in Prague and is commensurate with living expenses.
