The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Eastern Illinois University invites applications for a tenure-track position in mathematics. We are seeking an applicant with a commitment to excellence in teaching, the ability to inspire and mentor students, and a continuing program of research and engagement in mathematics. A Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field by Fall 2021 is preferred, but ABD will be considered and the degree will be required for tenure. All areas of pure and applied mathematics will be considered. The ideal candidate will enjoy teaching both lower and upper division mathematics classes with the potential for engaging undergraduate students in mathematics, mathematics education, and computer science. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required. The position begins August 2021.
