The Department of Mathematics at Trinity College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professorship, beginning July 1, 2021. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits with a teaching load of five courses per year. Candidates are preferred who have earned a Ph.D. in mathematics or statistics, although ABD may be considered. Evidence of effective teaching is necessary, and an active research program is a plus. Because Trinity is an urban liberal arts college whose 2200 students represent many socio-economic, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds across the US and abroad, candidates are preferred who demonstrate a clear commitment to undergraduate education in a diverse community.
