The Department of Mathematics (DMATH) of the University of Luxembourg has an opening for a Postdoctoral researcher position.

The candidate will be expected to work on an independent research program while being encouraged to interact with different research groups. The candidate should contribute to the life of the department, including teaching, seminars, working groups and other research related activities.

Applicants should be high potential new or recent PhDs, working in any area of mathematics. Candidates whose research connects to multiple faculty interests in the department will be given preference.

Salary is very competitive, and additional funding will be made available for travel and invitations. The successful candidate will be encouraged to apply for 3rd party funding to extend the position.

Overview

  • Contract type: Fixed-term (24 months)
  • Work hours: Full time 40 hours / week
  • Earliest starting date: May 2021
  • Location: Belval
  • A moderate teaching load (corresponding to at most 90 hours over the year)
