Simon Fraser University Postdoctoral Position in Graph Theory Postdoctoral supervisor: Dr. Bojan Mohar Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellowship position in discrete mathematics starting in January 2022 (but a later or earlier starting date can be negotiated). The applications are open to candidates of any nationality and
selection will be based upon the candidate's research potential. It is expected that candidates hold a PhD degree at the moment of employment. The doctoral degree may be either in
mathematics or theoretical computer science. A background and interest in both of these disciplines is
desired, in particular in one or more of the following fields: - structural graph theory; - topological graph theory; - algebraic graph theory; - algorithms on graphs. This position is for 12 months with possible extension for another year. Aside from the research component, the
candidate will be required to teach one course per year at the undergraduate level. The fellowship will provide an
annual stipend salary of at least $50,000, plus a $2,000 grant for travel and research expenses. Applications should include a curriculum vitae, a research statement, and at least three letters of reference. The call is open-ended until a suitable candidate is found. The first selection process will start on May 1, 2021 and all applications received by that date will be evaluated together.
