Centre College invites applications for one-year full-time visiting assistant professor in mathematics beginning August 2021, with the possibility of a second year. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to student-centered teaching. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree by the start of their appointment. Established in 1819, Centre College is a highly selective liberal arts and sciences college with 1,400 students and an exceptional faculty of teacher-scholars. The mathematics program at Centre consists of 9 full time faculty members and has been averaging approximately 20 math majors in each graduating class. We pride ourselves on our effective teaching, collegial relationships with each other, and our personal relationships with students.
