Located 36 miles east of Atlanta on Emory’s original campus in Oxford, Georgia, Oxford College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics position beginning August 2021, with possible renewal up to two years. The successful candidates will teach courses in the introductory calculus track and mid-level courses for mathematics and science majors.  The teaching load will be three courses per semester.  The position offers opportunities for inquiry-based teaching and access to a variety of teaching resources.

Qualifications

Required—A PhD in a mathematical science at the time of appointment and demonstrated effectiveness in teaching are required.

Preferred—Previous experience teaching calculus at the college level is desirable.
