We have an opening for a post-doc position in modelling the physics of Covid-19 type respiratory disease transmission. The primary aim of this collaborative project is to develop a robust theoretical and computational framework for constructing a disease spread model from the flow physics of transmission including variations in different model parameters. The basic framework could be found here:

Supervisors: Prof. Swetaprovo Chaudhuri (https://www.utias.utoronto.ca/) and to Prof. Vijaya
Kumar Murty (http://www.fields.utoronto.ca/).
Required Qualifications:
· Ph. D in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Aerosol Physics/Computer Science
· Strong foundations in coding and mathematics – pdf and pdf methods in particular
· Strong foundations in fluid mechanics
· Experience with handling and processing large datasets
· Familiarity with network model of disease spread will be useful
· Fluency in oral and written English and ability for high quality technical writing.
Interested candidates are requested to submit their application containing full CV, publication record, and two references. The initial appointment will be for one year.
