We have an opening for a post-doc position in modelling the physics of Covid-19 type respiratory disease transmission. The primary aim of this collaborative project is to develop a robust theoretical and computational framework for constructing a disease spread model from the flow physics of transmission including variations in different model parameters. Supervisors: Prof. Swetaprovo Chaudhuri (https://www.utias.utoronto.ca/) and to Prof. Vijaya Kumar Murty (http://www.fields.utoronto.ca/).

Required Qualifications: · Ph. D in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Aerosol Physics/Computer Science · Strong foundations in coding and mathematics – pdf and pdf methods in particular · Strong foundations in fluid mechanics · Experience with handling and processing large datasets · Familiarity with network model of disease spread will be useful · Fluency in oral and written English and ability for high quality technical writing.
