The Department of Mathematics at Norwich University invites applications for several lecturer positions beginning in mid-August 2021. The successful candidate for a lecturer position will teach a 5-5 course load for the academic year (approximately 15 credit hours per semester).

Teaching assignments may include preparatory mathematics, general education mathematics, introductory statistics, or the calculus sequence, with possibilities of teaching other course offerings. See the Norwich University Course Catalog for more details and course descriptions.

Funding to support ongoing professional development is available.

Lecturers are appointed on a yearly basis and may or may not be renewed. This is an in-person position, candidates must be able to teach in-person classes on the Norwich Campus in Northfield, VT.

Requirements: A minimum of master's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, or related field.

A demonstrated ability to teach mathematics courses at multiple levels. Such experience should include some of: developmental mathematics and algebra, elementary statistics, precalculus, calculus, or general education mathematics classes.

The successful candidate will have a passion for bringing excellent teaching into the classroom and will be able to engage our undergraduates in the discovery of mathematics. All applicants must have demonstrated commitment to working with a student body that is diverse with respect to socio-economic status, culture, academic interests, and career paths.
