Pending budgetary approval, the Program of Mathematics and Statistics at Louisiana Tech University anticipates filling multiple non-tenure-track lecturer positions, commencing September 1, 2021. Each position requires a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Computational Analysis and Modeling, or a related field by the start date.

The Program of Mathematics and Statistics is housed in the College of Engineering and Science, whose vision is to be a world leader in integrating engineering and science in education and research. The College opened a new $40M integrated engineering and science education facility in November 2019 and is undertaking an aggressive recruiting campaign to attract culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber. The successful applicant must have excellent teaching credentials, as the lecturer will be an active participant in interdisciplinary integrated engineering and science programs, serve as a model teacher for the College, and be involved in innovative curriculum development. Louisiana Tech University offers a promotion path for the Lecturer position. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses at all levels. A teaching load of 27 semester hours per nine month academic year is anticipated. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

The Program of Mathematics and Statistics offers a B.S. and an M.S. degree in Mathematics and it is a major participant in the interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Computational Analysis and Modeling. Most research activity in the College is focused around multidisciplinary research centers, including the Integrated STEM Education Research Center.
