The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McGill University invites applications for a Faculty Lecturer position: the anticipated start date is August 1, 2021, with the initial appointment being for three years, and the possibility for re‐appointment. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Candidates must have a Doctoral degree in Statistics or a related field at the date of appointment, and must have demonstrated excellence in teaching Statistics at the university level or equivalent. They must also have the potential and desire to contribute to the development of the Department’s educational programs, particularly at the undergraduate level. The appointed candidate will have general teaching responsibilities within the Department, but experience in teaching in the following areas would be especially useful: introductory non‐calculus probability and statistics, calculus‐based probability and statistics, analysis of variance and regression. Excellent communication and inter‐personal skills are a requirement.
