The Department of Mathematics at Rice University has been given approval to recruit one additional non-tenure track Instructor position for Fall of 2021. This position has been created principally to support the instructional mission of the department, and, as such, the successful candidate should provide evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, and of excellence in the classroom. This position is initially a two year appointment, with a third year possible contingent on satisfactory performance. Duties will include classroom teaching, and supporting other aspects of the instructional mission of the department. Candidates with an interest in pedagogical innovation, as well as those whose mathematical interests fit with current Rice faculty are particularly encouraged to apply.
