Assistant Teaching Professor or Lecturer in Mathematics

Penn State Behrend invites applications for a full-time, two-year, non-tenure track position in Mathematics to begin Fall 2021. This position will be at the rank of assistant teaching professor or lecturer (depending on qualifications.) A masters degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative/applied field is required. Responsibilities include
  • Teaching algebra and trigonometry through second-year calculus
  • Other courses may include linear algebra, differential equations, or introductory statistics (commensurate with degree and experience)
  • Perform scholarly activity
  • Advising and mentoring students
  • Service to the school and college


After an initial two-year appointment, the position is renewable, contingent upon enrollment demands and job performance.
