Positions: One full-time lecturer position in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Qualifications: Applicants are required to have a M.S. degree in mathematics or related field, but a Ph.D. is preferred. Candidates must also have a documented record of excellence in classroom instruction at the college level. Experience and expertise in instructional technology or curriculum development is preferred.

Starting Date: August 2021

First Review: Review of applications will begin June 1, 2021 and continue until a suitable candidate has been selected.

Duties/Responsibilities: The teaching load for this position is four courses per semester, although this may be reduced when assigned other responsibilities such as convening multi-section courses. Also, efforts to reduce the number of course preps will be made. Among the courses which may be assigned (depending on qualifications) include business calculus, STEM calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra. The appointment is term renewable and affords the possibility for promotion and multi-year contracts. The initial appointment is for a one academic year. Opportunities to teach summer courses for additional salary are generally available

Salary/Benefits: The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
