(Head: Prof. Dr. B. Wagner) to be filled at the earliest possible date.
The position is associated with the research project

Mathematical modeling of gelation of biopolymer solutions

The research will concern the mathematical modeling and analysis of polymer solutions that undergo gelation. This process is fundamental to many biological processes that underly biomedical applications. The research will be conducted in close collaboration with existing projects on hydrogels within the research group as well as with our partners from the applied fields.

The successful candidate will have a completed university degree in mathematics or theoretical physics, knowledge of partial differential equations, and working experience in the numerical implementation of coupled systems of PDEs.
