The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of South Florida invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Mathematics beginning on August 9, 2021. Salary is $45,659. Candidate must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics by the time of appointment, an outstanding research record, and demonstrated success in teaching. Must meet minimal university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Scholar. Preference will be given to candidates who have received their Ph.D. in Mathematics within the last three years and whose research area is in data driven methods in dynamical systems, numerical methods in fractional order calculus, symbolic computation, or has significant overlap with research of faculty members active in these areas. This position carries a one-year appointment with an annual teaching load of two courses, and may be renewed for an additional year depending on satisfactory performance.
