Position Description:

The Reed College Mathematics Department invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in mathematics, to begin August 2022. Applicants should have completed their PhD dissertation in mathematics or applied mathematics by time of appointment. An Equal Opportunity Employer, Reed values diversity and encourages applications from members of underrepresented groups.

The senior thesis is a cornerstone of the Reed College academic experience. It is a year-long project, required of every student, which culminates in a written document and an oral defense. Applicants are encouraged to suggest potential thesis projects and to describe their past experience mentoring student research.

Throughout your application materials, please describe the ways in which your past and current teaching, scholarship, mentorship, and/or community service has supported these values.
