The Johns Hopkins University’s Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics seeks applicants for a lecturer position commencing July 1, 2022, on the university’s Homewood Campus.

The selected individual will be a member of the faculty in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics. She/he will be expected to teach graduate-level courses offered by the department in both the Applied Mathematics and Statistics and the Data Science Masters programs. More precisely, the courses will be in areas that intersect optimization, probability, statistics and/or statistical learning. The nominal teaching load will be three courses per semester over a two-semester academic year. However, some of the courses may be replaced by an equivalent administrative effort. The selected individual will also be expected to advise students who are enrolled in both programs. Successful candidates must have a strong academic background, with a doctoral degree in one of the following: Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
