charge of this research group. He has been engaged in the study of Lie groups,
dynamics and number theory. More precisely, Dr. Guan’s previous research mainly
focus on the subject of homogeneous dynamics and related problems in
Diophantine approximation. Recently, Dr. Guan started to investigate cohomology
of arithmetic groups and related problems in number theory. Dr. Guan has a
broad interest in Lie groups, algebraic groups, arithmetic groups, homogeneous
dynamics and number theory. People with background from any of these subjects
will be welcome.
Job Description Position: Postdoctoral
Fellow (1 position) Start date: September, 2022
1) Have obtained or about
to obtain a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics. 2) Have
a solid background in at least one of the following subjects: Lie groups and
their representations, arithmetic groups and their cohomology, transformation
groups, homogeneous dynamics, number theory (in a broad sense). 3) Have great interest
and enthusiasm for mathematics research and have strong independent working
ability, diligent and practical.
Compensation and Benefits The research group offers
competitive compensation package commensurate with the selected candidate’s

will be encouraged and supported. For post-doc(s) who are selected by China
Postdoctoral Science Foundation or Advanced Programs of Zhejiang Province will
be entitled to receive the same amount funds from the Hangzhou government. Postdoc(s) who work in
Hangzhou on a full-time basis after completing their postdoctoral research will
be eligible for applying an allowance of 400,000RMB from the Hangzhou municipal
government.
