FACULTY POSITIONS IN APPLIED MATHEMATICS, DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS, UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO, SUNY The Department of Mathematics, University at Buffalo, State University of New York, anticipates the appointment of two faculty positions, effective August 2022, at the junior (tenure-track assistant professor) level. Strong candidates working in all areas of applied mathematics, applied probability and stochastic processes will be considered. Applicants should have excellent research accomplishments and potential, a Ph.D. in the mathematical sciences or a related field, and a strong commitment to teaching. Post-doctoral experience is expected, although not absolutely required. The normal teaching load for research-active faculty is 3 semester courses per academic year. Candidates should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a summary of their research program, a description of their teaching experience and at least four reference letters, one of which supports the applicant's effectiveness as a teacher.
