The Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah invites applications for full-time tenure-track or tenured appointments at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in pure mathematics. Outstanding candidates in all areas of Pure Mathematics will be considered.

 

Ideal candidates would complement our existing strengths, show promise as effective educators, contribute to the diversity of our faculty and students, and help us continue to build an inclusive environment within the Department and at the University of Utah. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field.

 

Review of complete applications for tenure-track positions will begin on November 1, 2021. The review process can continue beyond this date until the positions are filled. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2022.

 

Applications must include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests and plans, a teaching statement, a brief statement that addresses the applicant's past and/or future  commitment and contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion, and four or more letters of recommendation, at least one of which must address the candidate’s teaching record.
