Kalamazoo College invites applications for two two-year full-time non-tenure-track positions in Mathematics beginning in September 2022. Successful applicants will contribute to teaching in our Calculus sequence and, depending on specialty area, an upper level course. A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics is required (or evidence of imminent completion). Candidates are expected to have high aptitude and interest in undergraduate teaching and a commitment to the liberal arts. Kalamazoo College has made a commitment to inclusive excellence. We especially encourage applications from candidates whose intellectual and pedagogical approaches to the discipline will be effective in attracting and retaining historically underrepresented students. Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to working with students, faculty and staff from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. The teaching load is six courses per year on a quarter system (2/2/2). The department seeks to mentor holders of these positions to prepare them for a future tenure track position at a liberal arts college.
