offers a PROFESSORSHIP for „Mathematical Stochastics“ Salary-Gr. W3

The appointment is planned for the earliest possible date. The professor position is to be filled by an internationally recognized researcher with focus preferably in one of the following areas of mathematical stochastics with clear application relevance: stochastic differential equations Modeling and application of complex stochastic systems or statistical inverse problems

The Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Faculty offers numerous cooperation opportunities with institutes of computer science, economics and social sciences within the interdisciplinary cross-sectional topic "Data Science".

Teaching duties include participation in stochastic education for students of mathematics, finance and business mathematics (both bachelor's and master's degrees), the master's degree programme "Data-Science" and in the service courses of mathematics.

Our expectations Excellent international publication record Proven experience applying for external funding and willingness to apply is required. Open-mindedness towards cooperations in the existing scientific environment of the TU Braunschweig is required. Participation in the teaching responsibilities of the Department of Mathematics Participation in research and teaching in the cross-cutting topic of "Data Science" is expected. Ability and willingness to take on German and English-language courses Willingness to participate in the academic self-governance Willingness to contribute to the internationalization of the university, especially the Carl Friedrich Gauss Faculty, and in research

Requirements, § 25 NHG Completed university studies Pedagogical suitability, proof of this is to be provided by a teaching sample Special qualification for deepended independent scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by an above-average doctorate and Habilitation or habilitation-adequate qualifications
