The Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Ottawa invites applications from recent Ph.D.s for at least two postdoctoral fellowships. Applications in all areas of mathematics,and statistics will be considered. Applicants should identify their potential postdoctoral supervisor(s) in their application.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is a sponsor of the Fields Institute of the Mathematical Sciences (Toronto) and of the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques (Montreal). This fellowship is open to candidates of any nationality. The selection will be based on the candidate’s potential for research and teaching.

This fellowship is for one year, and is normally renewed for a second year subject to satisfactory performance. Duties include research and the teaching of two one-semester courses. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a research plan, a statement of teaching experience, up to three of their most significant publications, and arrange for three confidential letters of recommendation, with one addressing teaching, through the AMS Mathjobs web site. Applications will be reviewed beginning on December 20,2021 and until all positions are filled.

Le Département de Mathématiques et de Statistique de l'Université d'Ottawa met au concours au moins deux postes de chercheurs postdoctorals.

Ce poste de recherche et d'enseignement de deux cours (un par session) est pour une période d’une année, et est normalement renouvelé pour une deuxième année si la performance en recherche et enseignement est satisfaisante.

Ce poste est ouvert aux candidates et candidats de toutes nationalités. Les candidates et candidats de tout domaine des mathématiques et statistique seront considérés mais la préférence ira aux domaines représentés au département. La sélection se fera selon la qualité du dossier.

Les candidates et candidats doivent avoir obtenu récemment un doctorat en mathématiques ou en statistique et doivent faire parvenir leur dossier de candidature via AMS Mathjobs web. Les dossiers seront évalués dès le 20 décembre 2021 et continueront d’être considérés jusqu’à ce que tout poste soit comblé. Le dossier de candidature doit comprendre un curriculum vitae, un projet de recherche, un énoncé de l’expérience en enseignement, et trois lettres confidentielles de recommandation dont une concernant l'enseignement.
