The Institute of Algebra, Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics invites applications for the position of a

Research Assistant (Postdoc, m/f/d) in Arithmetic Geometry (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)

to be appointed on October 1st, 2022 or earlier. The position is limited to 3 years.

Responsibilities and duties

For this position, responsibilities and duties include contribution to the teaching of the department (4 hours per week), research in number theory, arithmetic or algebraic geometry and participation in duties of the institute.

Employment conditions

To qualify for the position, applicants should hold a scientific university degree in mathematics. Furthermore, a doctoral degree with above-average success in number theory, arithmetic or algebraic geometry is expected.
