The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Rutgers University-Newark invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of mathematics to start September 2022. Applicants from all fields are welcome. Faculty research interests include • representation theory, number theory, combinatorics, algebra, • low-dimensional topology and geometry, geometric group theory, 3-manifold theory, higher Teichmüller theory, • geometric analysis, complex and differential geometry, mathematical physics, and • data science. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program and to teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Requirements: A Ph.D. in mathematics, at least two years of postdoctoral experience, outstanding record of research accomplishments as well as of effective teaching are required.
