The Bob L. Herd Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas Tech University has an immediate opening for a Post Doctoral Research Associate.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in mathematics or engineering. Knowledge of computer programming using C, C++, and Python. Knowledge of Numerical Analysis. Knowledge of statistics and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Knowledge of Partial Differential Equations (PDE). Knowledge of computer algorithms. Knowledge of mathematical modeling. Having research background in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other employees and public. Ability to integrate resources, policies, and information for determination of procedures, solutions, and other outcomes. Being a self-starter. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Being research oriented and able to draw independent conclusions. Willing to work in the areas of petroleum engineering and artificial lift.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer candidate with oilfield experience.
