Dr. Huan Lei's research group at Michigan State University has a post-doctoral opening. The research topic focuses on developing data-learning methods to address challenges on computational modeling of multi-scale dynamic systems. The method development is based on model reduction, stochastic simulation, and machine learning approach, with direct applications to constructing high-fidelity models of multi-scale fluid and soft matter systems. The project aims to establish predictive modeling of the mesoscale transport process. The candidate is expected to have a background in applied mathematics, fluid dynamics, stochastic modeling, scientific computing, or related areas. Research experiences with multi-scale modeling, micro-scale simulation, or model reduction would be a plus. The position starts 07/2022 or earlier for a full-time 1-year appointment with the possibility of renewal for the additional years. Inquiries can be directed to Dr. Huan Lei (leihuan@msu.edu). Applicants must apply through the MSU online system (https://careers.msu.edu) and refer to posting number 759360. |
