About the Department of Mathematics The Mathematics department at Seattle Pacific University offers a BA in Mathematics, BS in Mathematics, and BS in Applied Mathematics and also supports a minor in data analytics and a mathematics concentration for prospective elementary teachers. Our students go on to teaching, graduate studies, and work in business and industry. Math majors complete a research project under faculty mentorship and joint research with undergraduates is encouraged. The department services programs in science and engineering and has a role in the general education program of the University.
Assistant Professor or Instructor of Mathematics, full-time, one-year position, available September 2022. ??Regular nine-month load of about 36 quarter credits in undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses. ??Active participation in the life of the department, the College of Arts & Sciences, and the University.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference given to candidates with the versatility to teach a wide range of topics in mathematics and statistics, including introductory statistics courses and/or mathematics education courses. ??Experience with diverse populations and issues in equity.
Position will remain open until filled. Salary commensurate with qualifications. This is a full time position with excellent benefits.
