The department of Applied Mathematics at Illinois Institute of Technology invites applications for a non-tenure-track Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position to begin in the fall semester of 2022. We aim to appoint a colleague who can teach well and assist in the continuing development of our masters’ programs.

Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in mathematics (or related area) by 1st August, 2022, and to provide evidence of excellence in teaching and service. The position will initially be a two-year appointment, with the possibility for renewal based on performance and budgetary considerations. The teaching load is three courses per semester. The candidate is expected to contribute directly to the growth of the professional master programs, in particular, by leading and supervising projects with industrial partners, overseeing internships programs, as well as working along with the program directors in running these graduate programs. Currently, we offer the following masters programs: • Master of Mathematical Finance (with emphasis on FinTech) • Master of Applied Mathematics • Master of Science of Applied Mathematics

And two joint programs with CS Department: • Master of Data Science • Master of Computational Decision Science and Operations Research
