The School of Natural Sciences at Indiana University Southeast seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematics position beginning August 1, 2022. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics by August 2022 and evidence of successful teaching of undergraduate mathematics. Preferred fields include probability and statistics; candidates should have graduate coursework in probability or statistics. Knowledge or experience in data science or actuarial science is preferred. Responsibilities include teaching a range of undergraduate mathematics courses, maintaining an active program of research, and service to the university and community. The successful candidate’s teaching responsibilities will include an undergraduate calculus-based probability and statics course sequence. Teaching load will be 12 hours per semester but there is an expectation of release time for research.
