A Post-doctoral opportunity is available at Clarkson University in the Clarkson Center for Complex Systems, under the direction of Professor Erik Bollt, W. The successful candidate for this post-doc will have some of the following desirable skills and knowledge: • Dynamical systems theory and practice, including synchrony • Network science • Information theory • Data-driven methods for science and engineering • Machine learning • Programming at least in Matlab and/or Python Applicants should have a foundation in a subset of these skills/knowledge; for the rest, we will study and build as we go. A PhD in mathematics, physics, electrical and computer engineering, computer science or related is expected. The term is annual, renewable based on performance review, with the expectation of two years, but possibly up to four years. The post-doctoral candidate is expected to become a vibrant member of our lively Clarkson Center for Complex Systems, advance their own skills and cooperate with other post-docs and students in advancing their skills and enjoyment along with the underlying science.
