Job Description: This is an exciting opportunity for young bright career professionals in mathematics and statistics to become part of an exciting and new interdisciplinary university. Selected faculty will also have opportunity for taking up leadership roles within the organization.

To develop and conduct a world class research program that will involve supervising PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, and developing a thriving scientific ecosystem in allied areas of scientific research.
To teach up to a maximum of 6 contact hours per week (lectures/labs) at the UG level or (4+3) contact hours per week (lectures/labs) at the PG level.
To raise research funds through government and private agencies and international consortiums.

Required Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in applied mathematics, statistics or a closely related area from an internationally acclaimed university.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching.
Demonstrated understanding of the importance of diversity, equity and inclusiveness in the scientific community.

Desired Qualifications:

Documented record of published research in top-tier international journals and strong potential for grant support.
Demonstrated competence in teaching and successful mentoring experience, especially in the context of engineering undergraduates.

Citizenship of India is not a requirement. Foreign nationals with fluency in English are encouraged to apply.

Research areas of current math faculty include mathematical modelling of complex systems like climate and weather, planetary fluid dynamics, lattice dynamics and applied mathematical physics, quantum computing, applied statistics and probability, mathematics of machine learning and AI.
