Case Western Reserve University Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics is seeking qualified candidates to fill two faculty positions at the rank of Instructor to begin Fall 2022. These are non-tenure track positions, and the majority of time will be spent on teaching and service. Responsibilities and Duties The responsibilities for these positions will include: Teaching 2 courses/sections per semester at the 100 or 200 level; Mentoring and overseeing lecturers, post-docs, and graduate students who are assigned to teach 100 and 200 level classes; Working with the departments serviced by these classes to ensure the topics covered are appropriate; Advising undergraduates as needed with their programs of study; Serving committees within the department. Minimum Qualifications All candidates should hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field by the time of the appointment. Several years of experience teaching first or second year calculus and differential equations at the university level are required. Candidates should be committed to working with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students. Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
