The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at St. Mary’s College of Maryland is accepting applications for a one-year appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science, beginning August 2022. Teaching responsibilities will include lower-level required courses as well as upper-level electives. All faculty at St. Mary’s are expected to contribute to the college-wide core curriculum as well as to their departmental curriculum.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Scientific Computing, or other Computational Science and be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. A successful applicant who has an MS but not a Ph.D. will be hired as Visiting Instructor of Computer Science. The successful candidate must produce the necessary documentation to legally work in the U.S. upon hire. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
