The Department of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics is seeking two mathematics faculty members who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students in a Christian work environment. Candidates must be able to teach a range of undergraduate mathematics courses while participating in departmental activities including curriculum development, student mentoring, committee work, and program assessment. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is required, and an interest in continuing scholarship suitable for undergraduates is encouraged. Candidates should be available to begin work in the Fall of 2022 or later. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and teach a variety of undergraduate mathematics courses.
  • Plan, implement, and assess classroom experiences per University policy.
  • Academically advise and mentor students.
  • Serve on college and university committees.
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

Qualifications

Candidates for the Instructor of Mathematics position should have a Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in mathematics.

Candidates for the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Mathematics position should have a Doctorate of Philosophy in Mathematics or a related field.
