The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Marquette University seeks to fill a full-time non-tenure track faculty position for the 2022-2023 academic year. Applicants should possess at least a master’s degree in mathematics or related area; a Ph.D. is preferred. Outstanding communication skills are essential. The department seeks candidates with a strong commitment to teaching. The ability to teach undergraduate level mathematics and/or statistics courses is required. The ability to teach in a large lecture setting is an advantage. The teaching load is expected to be 3-4 sections per semester, depending on class size. Teaching responsibilities include: class preparation, assigning readings and homework, grading exams and papers, incorporating computation, assigning midterm and final grades, and holding at least 3 regularly scheduled office hours per week. The ideal candidate will contribute to the teaching mission and the research mission of the department and Marquette University.
